With just three games remaining in the 2023-2024 NFL season, every team left has a shot at a ring. When rings are on the line, so are legacies. A Super Bowl can transform a player's legacy, jumping them up a tier when we look back at their careers. I am here to rank the remaining four quarterbacks on how much a ring changes their legacy. Let's begin.

1: Lamar Jackson
Running back. Not "quarterbacky" enough. Non-threat with his arm. These are just a sample of the narratives Lamar Jackson has had to deal with in his NFL career. He already has one MVP, and is likely on his way to another one, as he sits at -20000 on both DraftKings and FanDuel. While two MVPs go a long way in determining a Hall of Fame case, a ring almost guarantees a bust in Canton. If Lamar Jackson and the Ravens win the Super Bowl, he is a sure fire hall of famer.

2: Jared Goff
Jared Goff has transformed himself since joining the Lions. If you want to read more about Goff and the Lions, click here. In his time with the Rams, Goff struggled heavily against the blitz. He would get antsy, his timing would be off, and it would lead to turnovers and missed throws. In Detroit, that is not the case. His EPA/Play has steadily increased against the blitz. While a lot of that has to do with his weapons and Ben Johnson, Goff has just generally improved. A Super Bowl win would put to bed a lot of narratives about Goff being a game manager. He would also be revered as an icon in Detroit sports history if he brought the first ring to the Lions.

3: Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes is the best quarterback I have ever seen. He is the GOAT (in my opinion). A ring does not change my view in the Chiefs signal caller, but would put him firmly in the GOAT debate for a lot of people. Three rings, two Super Bowl MVPs, two MVPs, and two All-Pro selections in seven seasons puts him on pace to surpass Tom Brady's accomplishments. If the Chiefs win another Super Bowl, I will be all over social media claiming him as the greatest football player of all time.

4: Brock Purdy
Brock Purdy has been labeled a game manager. A Super Bowl ring would not change the sports media world's opinion on Purdy. Everyone will say he got carried by Kyle Shanahan and his weapons. That's probably true, but I actually think Purdy is pretty good. One ring doesn't really change his legacy, but it would cement Purdy as the guy in SF and possibly motivate the 'Niners to multiple SB appearances and wins.
