College football has a loaded slate in Week 4. Six ranked matchups, as well as FSU/Clemson headline the weekend. It's time to put my CFB knowledge to the test and give you my college football Week 4 picks.

6 Ohio State vs 9 Notre Dame: Notre Dame

In a rematch from last year, Notre Dame and Ohio State clash in South Bend. This game has massive playoff implications, as the winner likely pushes themselves into the top four. Notre Dame has looked like a brand new team with the addition of Sam Hartman. He's been nearly perfect through four games, and has landed himself on the latest update of the Heisman Ladder. Audric Estime has brought a new level of physicality to the run game. The Irish's offense is well balanced, capable of winning both ways.

I cannot mention offense without talking about the Buckeyes. Ryan Day has called elite offense after elite offense since he has been at Ohio State. Every skill position group is LOADED, and it all comes down to the quarterback. Is Kyle McCord the guy? Should Day have chosen Devin Brown? Will McCord be able to dissect a good Irish defense? I don't think so. Give me Notre Dame in a close one.

19 Colorado vs 10 Oregon: Oregon

Colorado has been the talk of the country since the start of the year. While Deion and Shadeur are both for real, the rest of their team lacks depth at key positions. You know who doesn't lack depth? Oregon. Oregon is one of the best teams in the country. Bo Nix and the Ducks are the toughest offense this Colorado team has faced so far. Without Travis Hunter, I cannot see a realm where Colorado stops the UO offense consistently. Expect some fireworks early, but Oregon will pull away in the second half.

15 Ole Miss vs 13 Alabama: Ole Miss

Possibly my biggest swing of the weekend, I have Ole Miss beating Alabama. The Crimson Tide have not looked like themselves this year. If it weren't for the Texas loss, I still would have backed the Tide. However, Lane Kiffin's offense is humming in 2023. They went down to New Orleans and handled business, beating a good Tulane team. I do not think Alabama has the offensive capability to keep up with the Rebs. Lane Kiffin gets the best of his mentor Nick Saban in a game that goes down to the wire. Jaxson Dart leads Ole Miss into Bryant-Denny and gets a win.

22 UCLA vs 11 Utah: Utah

I will never choose against Utah until they give me a reason to. Rice-Eccles is one of the hardest stadiums to play in. Kyle Whittingham has that defense ready to play against anyone in the country. They dominated Florida who just manhandled Tennessee. They did all of this with a back up quarterback. With Cam Rising coming back, the line has already moved Utah to a six point favorite. Cam Rising and the Utes beat the Bruins in a slug fest.

4 Florida State vs Clemson: Florida State

Florida State is the better team in this matchup. Clemson is a juggernaut at home. A team has to budge, and I think it will be the Tigers. I think the public is overreacting to the FSU performance at BC. Last week was Boston College's Red Bandana Game, a game honoring a true hero during the 9/11 attacks. It truly means more for BC during the Red Bandana Game. Knowing this information, I think the Seminoles bounce back from their sluggish performance. Johnny Wilson has to find the endzone eventually, while Keon Coleman is carrying the receiving unit so far in 2023. Give me the 'Noles in a game where Clemson gives a National Title threat their all.

14 Oregon State vs 21 Washington State: Oregon State

OSU/WSU is one of the harder games to call this weekend. On one hand, Oregon State has the more complete team and the better coach. On the other hand, Washington State has the better QB in Cam Ward. Not to mention the Cougars are at home. I am willing to put a stake in the ground for a team I believed in during the preseason. DJ Uiagalelei proves the Beavers are for real in the Pac-12 with a win in Pullman. Johnathan Smith finds a way to get it done on the road in this one.

24 Iowa vs 7 Penn State: Penn State

Saturday is going to be a coming out party for Penn State. The Nittany Lions are a real threat within the Big Ten. They have elite talent at every position group on the roster. Drew Allar is the superstar QB that Penn State fans have been waiting for. All of the stars align for Penn State to roll through the B1G until they face either Michigan or Ohio State. Iowa simply does not have the offensive firepower to keep up with PSU. Drew Allar gets it done through the air and Nick Singleton gets it done on the ground. It's simple, take the Nittany Lions.
